972xx is a work about the American interaction - or lack thereof - with our constructed landscapes. It is neither accusatory nor inflammatory; rather, the pictures suggest a more concerned outlook towards our modified world. Rather than thinking about places purely as locations (GPS coordinates, zip codes, et cetera), 972xx encourages a consideration of actual places. The figures in the photographs are no different than common people - only through their isolation have I highlighted their complacency.
